2020 Return to Play (COVID-19 Update)
Club update in relation to COVID-19 (as of 5 June 2020)
Following recent communication from the Victorian Government, Hockey Victoria, and Melbourne High School, the Executive Committee has held a series of meetings to determine the Club's path to returning to training and how the remainder of this season may progress. As part of these discussions, we have developed a policy in line with our stakeholders to develop a framework that will ensure we comply with all health and safety guidelines and regulations.
First and foremost our number one priority is the health and well being of the members of our club. All decisions have been made with player safety as our main focus.
As per our email correspondence (on 5 June 2020) to members the following will be required to be able to partake in hockey sessions (commencing 16 June) at this point in time:
Register with Hockey Victoria by clicking on this link, and filling in your details;
Pay the training fee ($100) via EFT (bank details below) or by contacting Andrew Lenga at treasurer@mhsobhc.com for an invoice; and
If you haven't already done so, sign up for TeamApp by downloading the app (links below), creating an account, searching for "MHSOB Hockey Club", and tapping "Request to join this team's app"
In addition to the above you must also read the club’s Return to Play Policy carefully (please contact Nick Mellor at secretary@mhsobhc.com for a copy). It details the steps you must take when participating in training, as well as the changes being made to comply with the new regulations.
At this point in time, training sessions will be held on Tuesdays (from 8.30pm) and Thursdays (from 6.30pm). Should you have any further questions, please contact Nick Mellor at secretary@mhsobhc.com.
